    And also to you. I shall be celebrating by throwing a prawn on the barb-y for lunch and for dinner tonight a chicken ticka masala washed down with some black wine of Cahors. All the countries of origin had the good fortune to be part of the British Empire at some stage, and all are the better for it.

    only saw two flags flyting while out for a walk along the River Tees…only two but boy they were impressive, one flying from the upstairs window of a house in a village and the otehr from the rooftop of a large country house side by side with the Union Jack…made my day :-)
