Shock! Climate change laws survive ‘red tape cull’

Imagine our shock!

The Barclay Brother Beano reports that 53 environmental regulations relating to pollution, contamination and waste are being scrapped to save money, however the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, Ed Davey has said that the Climate Change Act is an ‘example of essential legislation’ and all its supporting regulations must remain unchanged.

Of course it must!

After all, it is a money making machine for corporations at the expense of consumers and taxpayers who are forced part with cash unnecessarily by the State  – and it is used as justification by the political and bureaucratic elite for the globalisation of government and erosion of that inconvenient and troublesome process known as democracy.  Nothing can be allowed to derail the agenda.  If every environmental law and regulation bar one was scrapped the lone survivor would be the Climate Change Act.

If this latest piece of evidence doesn’t prove the fact the political class and corporations couldn’t care less about the environment and that the climate change bandwagon is just a means to their ulterior ends, nothing will.  Climate change alarmism has nothing to do with the environment and it has nothing to do with science.  It’s about money and control.  End of.

And despite this smash and grab raid on our pockets, our democracy and our individual freedoms, the vast majority of the population continue to drift through life in a sleepwalk, leaving the politicians and corporations to empower and enrich themselves.  By doing nothing we will deserve what we get.

I was just going to send you the link to this, AM!

    http://www.decc.gov.uk/publications/basket.aspx?FilePath=11%2fabout-us%2fgoals-commitments%2f4701-open-letter-from-ed-davey-on-the-outcomes-of-the-r.pdf&filetype=4&minwidth=true#basket

It is clear that DeadWood Davey is just as stupid and gullible as LooneyHuhne and Eddie Milipede.

Interesting that his comments about the CCA are the clear focus of this ‘open letter’ – the rest of it is just waffle. I suspect DECC was in receipt of a rather large number of communications suggesting the CCA should be the first thing on the “bonfire of red tape”!

Anyone fancy submitting a FOIA request to find out how many?

    Britain is fogged.

“By doing nothing we will deserve what we get.”

What would you suggest we do?

I’m beginning to think there’s no ‘wake-up call’ loud enough.

“No wake up call loud enough”……..is about right, erm – until the lights go out and some say that they soon will, next year or 2014 it will come to pass.

Or, the euro goes down the toilet – either way: we bin this climate change psychosis and the green energy ponzi scam.

    – Please let it be so.

@Pdid – “what would you suggest we do?”

Whatever you can and whatever it takes.

Understand what the CCA is and what the objectives of it are. Research contraction and convergence (the basis of the CCA) and learn what that delivers. Persuade other people to do the same. Do as much as you can to create a body of opinion that will cause this pernicious, evil and Marxist legislation to be removed from the statute.

While it is still law, every other argument about AGW in this country is entirely sterile and a distraction.

The CCA places a legal obligation on our government to reduce this country’s emissions by 80% and for “emissions”, read “consumption”, “economy”, “prosperity”, “well being”, etc.

AM is 100% correct that if we do nothing we will get what we deserve. There are something like 60 million people in the UK. There is an entry on the government epetition website proposing the repeal of the CCA. It has been there for seven months and as of today something like 1300 people had signed it. It may be a small thing and may not get th desired result but every single little thing helps. Eventually, if everyone took this seriously enough and did something, the walls will come down.

Doing nothing should not be an option because the CCA will destroy us and our children and our grandchildren.
