Collectivism, statism, authoritarianism…

Call it what you will, no matter how you dress this up it shows the disturbing, even dangerous, mindset of socialists (h/t Liberty Blitzkrieg).  Speaking as a parent of two children, the message in the clip below is utterly appalling.

When people like Melissa Harris-Perry want to take responsibility for the education of your children you’ve got to ask why, what’s in it for them?  Clearly they want to dictate the way the child will think when he is older.

For socialists it is too much of a risk to let a family influence the way the child might think – after all, the chilld might not accept the distorted, fallacious secular shibboleths that underpin the authoritarian, statist creed the collectivists cling to. Parents cannot be trusted to indoctrinate the children with the ‘correct’ viewpoints.  Free thinking and independent, critical analysis that might lead someone to question or challenge the statist orthodoxy cannot be permitted.

So confident are these people, they don’t even try to hide their nefarious agenda any more.

As one of the commenters says

“the same folks who have actively participated in managing education and have created horrible results are still offering their solutions. ”

Now… where have I heard that before?

    When America sneezes?

That many primary educators take the sprawl of fashionable progressive indoctrination dogma du jour and pump it wholesale into very young minds…

The towering, rather sinister arrogance of Melissa HP … sheesh! – what a piece of work…

I would like to get her onto a public debate with Dr. Ben Carson

yeah, that I’d pay to watch.

Obarmy land, is becoming so barmy – don’t Americans realise it?

But the state gets children over here [UK] in the creches and Socialist Utopia here we come. It is only since Bliar’s Labour came to power [although it is a EU competency – aren’t they all] – state funding for ‘women back in the work place’ – shit idea, shit system – always a subtext – agitprop for under 5’s.

Keep an eye on the little deviants

If any toddler turns his nose up at your cooking- you might have to report him/her a s waycist.

The National Childrens Bureau fake charity incarnate – satire redundant.

The US is rapidly heading for the ‘Soviet’ ideal now. One thing you quickly learn when visiting the countries now freed from socialist and Leninist/Marxist regimes is that the idea of ‘everyone owns it’ means no one is responsible for it. So nothing is ever maintained, everyone just uses it and when it breaks …

Our UK school system is already in the hands of these indoctrinators.

    @cuffleyburgers

I guess you might have a wall full off books with only the first few pages read?

It takes a village to indoctrinate your children and turn them against you and all you believe in…

The one home-schooled child I know is destined for life as a benefit-sponging couch potato like both her parents.

As opposed to a rent-seeking sockpuppet who defends without question every statist position on every subject from education to climate change?

A variant on a bitter Polish (wages) aphorism from Soviet days:

“The state pretends to teach us, and we pretend to learn.”
