Woolwich murder: A litany of risible excuses

Running second only to my revulsion and anger at the cowardly, savage and inhuman slaughter of Lee Rigby from 2 Bn RRF, is my disgust and contempt at the flood of pathetic excuses and aggressive self justification that surround this barbaric murder.

Primarily this concerns the poisonous alleged killer, Michael Adebolajo, who chose to call himself ‘Mujahid’, when he became a Muslim for reasons I will attempt to explain.

No one who has read or listened to the accounts of this vile animal’s rant and heard details of his background could fail to miss the inconsistencies, contradictions and pathological hatred he exhibits.  Adebolajo has sought to draw equivalence between his brutal and gutless attack on an unarmed young man and British forces engaged in conflict, rightly or wrongly against a fanatical armed group that visits similar brutal and gutless attacks on men, women and children as part of a campaign to intimidate people into abiding by their twisted worldview.

I apologise that women had to see this today but in our lands [this is a man born and brought up in the UK] our women have to see the same. You people [although British he refers to Britons as if foreign] will never be safe. Remove your governments. [he tries to kid himself our government is somehow not his] They don’t care about you. Do you think David Cameron is gonna get caught in the street when we start busting our guns? Do you think the politicians are gonna die? No, it’s gonna be the average guy – like you, and your children. So get rid of them. Tell them to bring our troops back [suddenly they are ‘our’ troops, bloody moron] so you can all live in peace. Leave our lands and you will live in peace. That’s all I have to say. Allah’s peace [after he has just waged cowardly violence he speaks of peace] and blessings be upon you. Salaam alaikum.

All these words follow information that Adebolajo was stopped by the security services from going to Somalia to wage jihad.  Was he going to fight against British troops? No, the fight in Somalia is between Muslims!  And Muslim witnesses to Adebolajo’s recent rants elsewhere reveal he was also speaking of going to Syria to fight.  And what is happening in the civil war there?  Yes of course, Muslims are killing other Muslims.

No, this all shows us that Michael Adebolajo isn’t some self appointed defender of fellow Muslims.  He didn’t take the spineless decision to run over an unarmed and unaware young man walking along the street to incapacitate him, so he could be easily overpowered and butchered with an array of weapons, as revenge or retaliation for the involvement of British troops in Iraq, Afghanistan or anywhere else.  It’s just an pathetic excuse.  He did it to indulge his bloodlust and his hateful urges to do murderous violence on other people.

Make no mistake, if it hadn’t been this sickening murder Adebolajo would have committed a different one, citing some other spurious justification.  We can be sure of this because if he is so devoted to the protection of Islamic life, why has he separately attempted and spoken of going to conflict zones to fight where Muslims are waging violence on other Muslims and his violence would result in Muslim deaths?

Adebolajo is nothing more than a dangerous psychopath with a superiority complex, twisted by hate and a desire to do harm.  He was motivated by a wish to intimidate people and wreak violence and mayhem on them, and therefore sought out an avenue that would satisfy his violent urges and give him what he perceived as an excuse to kill other humans, and that is why he latched on to the worldview of similarly hateful cowards like Anjem Choudary and Omar Bakri Mohammed, piggybacking onto their particular interpretation of Islam that sanctions the violence and murder he has long craved to achieve its warped ends.  So he converted to Islam to fulfill his wet dream.

I would prefer not to give any more thought to Michael Adebolajo or his chickenshit sidekick, but it will be impossible to cast from my mind what has happened.

Drummer Lee Rigby was a Fusilier.  When I was serving (1987-1992) I spent a lot of time with the RRF lads.  My old regiment, the Queen’s Regiment, was part of the Queen’s Division along with the Fusiliers, Royal Anglians and a motley crew of Assault Pioneers, until we were merged with the Royal Hampshires to become the Princess of Wales’ Royal Regiment (aka Squidgy’s Own).  Fusiliers and Anglians have suffered an appalling toll of deaths and maimings on active service, which is bad enough, but now one of my old Division’s number has been murdered by hatemongers on the streets of London.  That’s difficult to accept.

It’s just as well I will never get anywhere near Adebolajo or his boyfriend.  The overwhelming urge to tear them apart with my bare hands would be too difficult to control.  At least, unlike them, I wouldn’t be making up contrived excuses for my actions.

Rest in Peace and God bless you, Drummer Rigby. My thoughts and prayers are with your baby son and family.

    You’ve excelled yourself, AM.

Your best ever, because it came from the heart.

Your rightful anger is visceral in this well-written piece. The boastful and self-contradictory rubbish from the blood-soaked barbarian seemed to me to be just parroting, and was reminiscent of Mohammad Sidique Khan’s video shown after 7/7.

This Arab black type is right, if we weren’t there in a warzone they’d have less reason to hate us. But, none of them should be here anyway, we should deport them all, none of them ever made us British, we had that before they came.

If you want this hate to go away then we have to cut down on foreign intervention and start looking after ourselves, firstly by deporting all of these Arabs, we don’t need them, we’ve moulded ourselves over thousands of years without their help.

Think about yesterday when you vote next. If you want you can help knock on doors for your favoured party, that’s what gets the postal votes and votes on the day.

The words of this vile creature purport to justify that which is unjustifiable, I question why we allow susceptible, inadequate minds to be filled with such hatred.
The CofE, the “Established Church”, is regulated in what can and cannot be said in services – The Book of Common Prayer and its trendy successors. Why then, if we are all equal, cannot there be regulation of what is preached in mosques?
I’m all for freedom of speech, but isn’t already a crime to incite hatred? If Islam really is a religion of peace, the voices of hatred which seem to come from within it must, surely, be quietened.

    I share the anger……

and despair at the gutlessness of a political class too frightened to send lawfully convicted murderers (after presumption of innocence, trial by jury returning a UNANIMOUS verdict, absolute right to appeal, Home Secretary commutation if overwhelming mitigating circumstances exist in the public itnerest, followed by swift execution of sentence) to their lawful deaths…….witness the rise of violence, random, opportunistic and premeditated in our society today, that would result in many more deaths if it were not for the endeavours of superbly talented surgeons and their teams.

There simply is no deterrent anymore for anyone who chooses to be violent; if those considering it thought they might “hang by the neck until dead” I believe there would be less violence if the political class showed the balls to carry out sentences of death And while you can never deter anyone pschologically determined to kill someone at least society would feel justice had been served when such perpetrators had been served justice.

This was murder, nothing more, vile, despicable, lustful, self serving murder.

There will be no justice for Drummer Rigby and his family, and where the political class strangles justice by being cowardly only anger, frustration, bitterness and desire for vengeance remain.

It will be left to an increasingly armed Police who will become the Judge Dredd’s of our society administering sentences of death without presumption of innocence, trial by jury or any right to appeal

And sadly a rising vigilantism and blood feuds betwixt those who feel cheated of justice as a result of such continued gutlessnesness by a craven insulated political class

Yes, you very much mirror my own thoughts.

Just one point: I’m assuming you obtained the transcript of Mujahid’s vid from the MSM or somewhere else rather than make it yourself? Well, an interesting anomaly has occurred and seems to have been repeated in every transcript that I’ve seen, and for no good reason as far as I’m concerned other than to deceive the public and paint the killer in a slightly better light. Bear with me:

Now, we can only speculate as to why mishmashed differing versions were available of the video, but I would suggest that in just about every other version (perhaps all via an editorial decision by ITV), after he says ‘…they don’t care about you’ the footage cuts to another cam where time has moved on and we see him mouthing ‘That’s all I have to say.’ but the audio is ‘sall’Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam’ or ‘May the peace and blessings of Allah be on him [Muhammad]’. I would propose that in the more complete coverage in the Sun version, where various transcripts claim he is offering a kind salutation/farewell to onlookers ‘Allah’s peace and blessings be upon you’, what he actually says is:

“That’s all I have to say. Amin [i.e. Amen – said to conclude a prayer, a supplication, or, in this case, a would-be martyr’s testimony] Allah’s peace and blessings be upon Muhammad. sall’Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam”

What I would like to know is why this transparent deception continues with the obviously inaccurate transcripts. His final words to the camera are actually a dedication of his barbaric act to Muhammad, the Prophet of Islam, rather than a slightly more palatable farewell salute to the crowd as the transcripts would have us believe.

Well said and I agree with every word. Adebolajo was right about one thing, though: we should get the hell out of Muslim countries and let them get on with whatever form of government/dictatorship they choose to put up with.

A very good article, thank you. One strange observation, having talked to a lot of people is why did someone, confronted with a crazed killer with blood soaked hands and an array of weapons get out their mobile phone and take a picture of him? Wouldn’t your normal impulse be to flee very fast in the opposite direction? Is there something sinister going on here?

  9. 10 StrongUnitedKingdom 24/05/2013 at 10:51 am

Agreed AM. Beyond our govt and legal system one thing that certainly needs improving in this country is the police marksmanship. The fact they are still breathing and consuming resources in our country is a travesty. One sincerely hopes there is no directive to avoid lethal force in muslim cases, however it would not surprise me.

Thoughts, prayers and condolences to Drummer Rigby’s family and colleagues.

Very well said, AM. You’ve said it all. In answer to Hassan, I would suggest that the ‘edit’ is a clumsy attempt to play down the “Islamic” aspect of this brutal act.

  11. 12 mark 24/05/2013 at 2:40 pm

Always after such atrocities, home and abroad, we get them wheeled out on the TV “news”, nowhere Islam does it preach hate, these acts have no basis in Islam etc etc etc.

Tall bloke said it for me.

  13. 14 Peejos 25/05/2013 at 7:17 am

Nowhwere have i seen any comment as to why the police who were actually on the scene quite quickly did not use their stun guns, but instead waited for an armed response unit to drive up full of heavily armed, flack jacketed and helmeted so called marksmen. How many shots to incapacitate somebody only feet away?

In reply to Hassan (all have made excellent contributions here) I would say that your observations are exceptionally appropriate. I thought I saw something different in various edits of the clip, and I am confident that your assertions are a very real possibility.

This happened only days after Mandleson said this: http://bit.ly/15IlEyz

And this of course, all after the Andrew Neather revelations. Whilst these pieces of filth (who I won’t dignify by naming) were both, apparently British-born, I have no idea why there parents were here. All I know is, the bein-pensant social engineers of Labour and the Lib Dims have probably never been to Slough, where they’ve waved the planning infringements and penalties, so that people can convert their sheds and garages to living accommodation, because of the acute housing shortage. The Channel 4 documentary then went on to interview a Somali woman who arrived here 3.5 years ago with 6 kids, but now has 10 (“….the average size for a Somali family….”)

I’m convinced we’re in Afghanistan to suit the Americans, pretty rich when you consider how much Obama hates the British (completely without justification: http://bit.ly/LdhcxA).SO we won’t be leaving until they say OK.

The ‘US of Europe’ and the USA – we’re circling the plughole by keep falling between these 2 stools.

(The monitoring issue is in Sky news this morning, is being pushed from the opposition by the awful Saddiq Khan.)
